Scaredy Cat is trying to figure out how he can get Bob to stop talking. All he wants to do right now is sit in silence. He invited his friend over for lunch, and all Bob has done since he arrived is talk, talk, talk. And he's not talking quietly. Bob is a very excitable pet and tends to be a bit on the loud side. Loud is something Scaredy Cat is NOT. How did a pet who is quiet and reserved become so close to a pet who is loud, loud, loud. They are so opposite from each other! They say that opposites attract, but one can't help but wonder how much more opposite two friends can be! Scaredy Cat is quiet. Bob is loud. Scaredy Cat likes to spend time alone. Bob likes to be the center of attention. Scaredy Cat enjoys reading and doing crafts and isn't too bothered with sweet stuff (except his favorite mouse cookies). If Bob can use his outside voice in anything he does, he's thrilled to bits. And sweets? He'd be in heaven if he could live inside a sweet shop, sampling and tasting all the sugary creations that are offered. You have to wonder how two pets who are so vastly different are such close friends. Well...Scaredy Cat knows that at some point, Bob is going to go home and he can finally have some peace and quiet.

This week it's all about opposites! Black & white. Up & down. Inside & outside. Peanut butter & jelly. Big & little. Loud & quiet. There are lots of opposites all around us. Maybe you can have breakfast for dinner and dinner for breakfast. Say right when you mean left and vice versa. It's a day when "no" means "yes". What kind of opposites can you come up with?
