Scaredy Cat and Bob are enjoying their time outside as they decorate their little outdoor Christmas tree together. All around town, pets and hoomans are getting ready for Christmas, Hanukkah and other festive holidays and celebrations that take place this time of the year. They have a box of ornaments that they are carefully hanging on the tree. Because the tree is a bit small and definitely quite sparse, they are being extra careful not to do anything to cause any damage. Bob is cautious as he heads to the tree to place a beautiful hand-carved wooden ornament on one of the branches. Scaredy Cat, trying to stay warm, looks on at the ornament that was created just for him a couple of years ago. He does look forward to heading back inside where there will be steaming mugs of hot cocoa with those little marshmallows floating on top for the pair. But in the meantime, he'll do his best to stay warm while he spends time with his best friend.

This week, people around the world are getting ready for Christmas, Hanukkah and other festivals and celebrations that take place during the month of December. There's decorating and baking and shopping and so much more! But what if you don't celebrate any of those holidays and festivals that take place in December (other than maybe a birthday or anniversary)? If there's no celebrations that are important this month, what will you be getting ready for and when would it be happening? Is there a wedding in the future for you or a family member or friend? Is someone expecting a baby? Are you getting ready to complete your education after years of hard work and sacrifices? Maybe you're getting ready to reunite with a friend that you haven't seen since you were younger. Perhaps you've completed a cooking class and now are getting ready to host a dinner party to show off your new culinary skills! We'd love for you to share with us what you're getting ready for - whether it's Christmas, New Year's Day or getting ready to adopt a new pet into your family.
