Scaredy Cat is definitely scared out of his mind. His hooman was doing some Spring cleaning - dusting, hoovering, sorting out wardrobes and shelves - trying to tidy things up around the house after a long winter. Whilst cleaning, the power went off, leaving the room in darkness. His hooman found a flashlight and stood it on the nightstand to let some light in the room and stepped away to see if she could find the source of the power outage. Scaredy Cat sensed a pair of eyes watching the activity. Cautiously, he leaned over the end of the bed and quickly (but very quietly) scooched back and buried himself under the covers. Much to his dismay, there WERE two large purple eyes glowing from under the bed. What do the eyes belong to? How did it get in his room? How long has it been there? Why was it in his room? Oh my word - so many questions ran through his brain. Oh how he wished the power would come back on and his hooman would rescue him. He doesn't like that there is something under his bed - watching him. Watching him with those large purple eyes. "I'm doomed" he thinks to himself.

This week - we're finding things under the bed! Whether put there on purpose as a place to store things or being there because something made its way to the depths of "under the bed" - we all have things under the bed. Do you have storage bins that holds extra sets of bed linens? Maybe you tuck your extra pairs of slippers under the edge of the bed when not being used. Do you find "dust bunnies" underneath - bits of dust mixed with bits of fuzz and string that tend to resemble a bunny who had managed to stick a paw into an electrical outlet? Are you afraid of what might be lurking under the bed? Do you tremble at the thought of there being monsters and other creatures hiding under where you sleep? Do snakes and spiders lurk in the darkest shadows beneath your resting place, making it difficult to sleep at night? Show us what is under your bed and maybe if it's a safe place, Scaredy Cat will come and stay a while.
