Scaredy Cat
"Hi Scaredy Cat and JJ" Bob greeted them both upon arriving at the park. "Crazy weather we have here, don't you think? I see both of you are bundled up well" Bob continued.
"It sure does looks crazy. I meant the weather. March is a month of change. Is this the last snow of the winter? It was very warm all weekend and then I woke up to this. I thought March was supposed to go out like a lamb!" Scaredy Cat said.
"What does that mean?" asked Bob.
"You've probably heard the saying, 'March comes in like a Lion, out like a lamb' before, right? It refers to the weather, “In like a lion, out like a lamb” has always seemed a straightforward enough proverb: when March starts, it's still winter, and by the end of the month spring has begun. When it comes to March weather, things tend to jump around wildly!" explained Scaredy Cat.
"Wow, that's sure is crazy weather" Bob agreed.
"Well, This is the month when we typically see our first 60 degree day... but also the month when we average over 6 inches of snow. It's not uncommon to have 35 degree swings in temperature from one day to the next. Mother Nature doesn't subscribe to a catchy saying any more than my JJ listening to me when I tell her that her dinner is at 6 pm every day. It is the weather, after all" Scaredy Cat continued.
"How about using weather as our theme for this week’s art challenge at the community center?" Bob said.
"That's an excellent idea Bob. Let's do just that" Scaredy Cat gladly agreed.

You heard them. March is a crazy weather month when things can change quickly. Use it as a base for your artwork this week. We're talking about the weather here, not the season. So, show us rain, blizzard, windy, sunny, cloudy, stormy...any type of weather imaginable in your most creative way. Fair weather to all and create away.
