A wiggle and a walk, a wiggle and a walk. There is nothing to see here. I am but a leaf waving in the wind.

Did I fool you? As a Chameleon, I walk with jerky movements and a rocking motion. This is to fool any predator into thinking I am a leaf. Pretty clever. I can also change colour depending on my mood, temperature, and health. I don't suddenly think to myself, I would like to be pink or yellow today.

I would like to be friends with you, and I always think it is nice to share something you like with a new friend. I like bugs and worms to dine on. What about you, what is your favourite like?

When you think of a skunk, what is the first thing that comes to mind? I knew it. No, I am not stinky. I only use my amazing scent to scare away anyone who wants to see how I taste; you would do the same, right? No one would be happy about some strange creature coming up to take a nibble of them.

I love to romp around in the flower fields, rolling around in a sunny patch, as I look for fruits, berries, and nuts to fill my tummy. If you have fruits in your garden, I would love to be friends, and we can spend the sunny days playing tag and gathering nuts to have a picnic.

I am a cat who can fly, an owl who has nine lives. I am an Owlcat who can climb a tree, roost in its branches, fly to the next tree and always find the sunniest places for another nap. With a tail to wrap around my nose to keep it warm, ears that hear every sound and eyes that won’t miss a single movement. Am I a new type of animal or one you have just never met before?

Hahahehehahahahe! Did I startle you? Did you think I was a human laughing? No, just me, the Kookaburra. Now the question to ask is, was I laughing, or is this the way my call sounds? I would hate for you to not be able to join me in a good laugh, which I enjoy as much as any pet. Alas, this time I was calling to see if there were any more Kookaburra in the area.
