Introvurtle

Introvurtles are often called shy but that's not true. We just like to ponder the situation before we jump in. We enjoy being around other turtles and can spend hours talking about topics that interest us. Introvurtles usually prefer activities that are quiet and peaceful like going on walks and enjoying nature.

My best friend just texted me to ask me if I wanted to go sunning on the log with a few other turtles. Hmmm, I think I would like to do that. A little sunshine and the companionship of a few good friends sounds like a perfect way to spend the afternoon. I'm ready to come out of my shell and be around other turtles now that my social battery is full again.

We introvurtles are often very creative and enjoy drawing, sewing, and writing, and can easily spend hours immersed in those activities. My favorite thing to do to recharge my social battery is to escape into a good book. What a difference it makes! I'll feel so much better and soon I'll be ready to face the world again, but right now it's just too "turtly" out there so I'll stay right here where I am! Ring... ring... ring... nope, I don't feel like talking. I'll just let that call go to voicemail. We prefer a text rather than a phone call anyways.

Whew! That was a fun social gathering but now I'm feeling exhausted! This introvurtle's social battery is nearly depleted. It's not that I don't enjoy being around other turtles, it's just that I only have so much social battery, and when I run out of energy from too much "turtling" I need to slip away from the group and recharge. Introvurtles need our alone and quiet time; it's just the way we are made. We wish extrovurtles would understand and not think there's something wrong with being an introvurtle.

Find Food

Your pet becomes an expert at finding its own food!

Distance swimming

Dolphins have always been very playful, proudly showing off their abilities to leap high into the air and pirouette their way into the depths, reminiscent of a chorus line in a famous ballet! But dolphins are also very social, and soon realised that their friends the manatees, sea turtles and fish did not share their grace or dexterity.

So the dolphins conceived of an activity that all of their friends could join in with them and enjoy. Distance swimming races…which the stodgy older turtles secretly refer to as “organised drowning”…
