Bob is in the kitchen, getting ready to do some baking. He and his BFF Scaredy Cat are going to be going on a picnic this weekend and he wants to bring some sweet treats. His reasoning is you can't go on a picnic and not have cakes and cookies to enjoy after eating sandwiches with pickles and salads. He begins to gather the needed ingredients to make the first batch of cookies when all of a sudden, his mind goes completely blank. He is standing in front of the mixer with a spoonful of crushed nuts and cannot remember what he's supposed to do. He looks around the room for something to jog his memory with no luck. All he knows is that he is supposed to be baking but he can't recall what it is he's supposed to bake. He can't remember the instructions, the ingredients needed or even why he's baking. For Bob to forget ANYTHING involving food - especially sweets - that is bad!! Bob continues to look at the nuts on the spoon and the mixer in complete confusion. What is he going to do? Why is this happening NOW?? Bob opens his mouth in despair as he struggles to remember what is going on. Will he remember what he's baking? Will he recall what he's supposed to do and get it done before his picnic with Scaredy Cat? Let's hope his memory comes back so that he can make the cookies for his picnic!!

This week we're talking about forgetfulness. July 2nd is "I Forgot Day" and all around the world, pets and hoomans struggle with remembering things. Forgetting a birthday, anniversary, an appointment - it's quite common. Sometimes you'll walk into a room and completely forget why you've gone into that room. You want to crawl under a rock when you realize you've forgotten your mom's birthday - AGAIN. Have you ever gone to the market - WITH a list and STILL forget to get milk and eggs? You're not the only one! We're sure that there are some pets and hoomans that are SUPER organized who won't understand what it's like to forget something, but don't worry, there's plenty of us who forget often enough to make up for those that don't experience it. Now - try NOT to forget that you have one week to get your art challenge done!!
