Scaredy Cat decided that since the weather was nice, he and Bob would go visit the local dairy farm and see how they make milk - his favorite drink. When they got there, he was in for a huge shock. First, Farmer Bear, wearing a tattered old hat, approaches him announcing that they've gotta put on a red nose and then proceeds to stick one on his face! Of course, being the nervous kitty that he is, he begins to wonder if coming here was such a good idea. Not wanting to upset the owner, he leaves the red nose on. He heads outside to the pasture area near the barn and sees an overwhelming number of Vanilla and Chocolate Milky Moo cows - why so many of them? And then he notices that all of the farm animals, including those cows, are wearing red noses! What's the deal with the red noses? Farmer Bear explains that it's for Red Nose Day, being celebrated in the United Kingdom on March 18th (it's then celebrated in the USA on May 26th). Farmer Bear goes on to explain that the idea of Red Nose Day was built upon the foundation that comedy, celebrities and mass media can help raise money and awareness of poverty to save and change millions of lives. So he thought that he could help support this by making all visitors and farm animals wear red noses! As usual, Bob thinks this kind of thing is totally awesome and loves his new accessory. Scaredy Cat thinks this is wonderful but is grateful that he'll only have to wear this thing til he goes home.

This week we're going to put on our own Red Noses to support the efforts of Comic Relief and Red Nose Day! It may not be your pet's best color, but how can they make that round red nose be a great part of their accessorizing? What if your pet doesn't have an outward appearing nose?? Grab some red lipstick or something washable and draw a nose on their face! Red bubblegum might work! If your pet is really into red, they can don red all over!How can you and your pet help? Throw a Red Nose Day Party! Get a few friends, family members or co-workers together to have a little gathering in honor of Red Nose Day. Serve themed foods, like red cake balls, red cherry tomatoes or juicy red apples, and decorate with all the red pom-poms, poufs, and baubles while you and your guests are wearing your own red noses!!
