Today Scaredy Cat, Bob and JJ visited the attic. It's one of Scaredy Cat's favorite places to gather. While digging through boxes, they found all kinds of plushies that they hadn't seen in a while. Bob exclaimed "Look, I found my childhood monster plushie! I used to sleep with this one every single night". Scaredy Cat replied "I remember that, and I used to get tucked every night with my catfish plushie. Such fond memories". Meanwhile JJ found her favorite plushie toy, the hot dog she played with all the time. "I used to play fetch with this one as a pup"! Scaredy Cat said "Oh how I remember. You couldn't get enough of me tossing that for you as a puppy". "Maybe we could do this week's art challenge around all the cute plushies we have in PnF" suggested Bob. "I think that's a fantastic idea, let's do it" responded Scaredy Cat

A stuffed toy is a toy doll with an outer fabric sewn from a textile and stuffed with flexible material. They are known by many names, such as plush toys, plushies, lovies, stuffed animals, and stuffies; in Britain and Australia, they may also be called soft toys or cuddly toys. The stuffed toy originated from the Steiff company of Germany in the late 19th century and gained popularity following the creation of the teddy bear in the United States in 1903. Children, as well as adults, can form connections with their stuffed toys, often sleeping or cuddling with them for comfort. They can be sentimental objects that reduce anxiety around separation, self-esteem, and fear of the night. Bunnies and rabbits were among the first stuffed animals ever made for sale, and they continue to be some of the most popular plush toys. This week we want to see some of your favorite plushies!
