Scaredy Cat and Bob returned home from their surfing trip in Hawaii long enough to take a nap, refresh their belongings and grab their passports to head to Scotland. They learned that Unicorn Day is coming and it's a big celebration in Scotland and they thought that being a part of such a festive occasion would be lots of fun!! They arrive in the land of green fields, tartans and bagpipes, and read up on Unicorn Day while having a nice cup of tea. One of the most interesting facts they read about is that the unicorn is Scotland's national animal! Wait a minute....aren't unicorns just a mythical creature? Another interesting tidbit is that the Celts believed the unicorn to be a creature that symbolised grace, strength and freedom. Hmmm....Well....after a nice rest, they venture to a beautiful field where it is apparently well known for lots of unicorn sightings. The pair weren't disappointed as they see unicorns in a variety of colors roaming about. They both find a spot to sit and are delighted as some of these majestic creatures come close enough to touch!! This is going to be a great trip!!

Unicorn Day is coming!! April 9th is Unicorn Day and we're going to be celebrating with the Scots this week! What do you think you and your pet can do to take part in the festivities? One activity that could be perfectly suited to this day would be sitting down to watch a good fantasy film, preferably one that includes unicorns, of course! Throw a Unicorn Themed Party where guests to dress up as their favorite unicorn or fantasy character. Provide treats and snacks, and decorate using rainbow balloons and streamers, as well as tinsel and glitter of all kinds. You could invite some friends over to bake colorful unicorn cupcakes that can then be topped with colorful icing and sprinkles. Whatever you do, it's bound to be as magical as a real unicorn!!
