The Adventures of Scaredy Cat
Owl Be There
Today we find Bob, JJ and Scaredy Cat on a stage singing karaoke. JJ was smart enough to bring a pair of headphones since she knows that Bob can’t carry a tune if he tried. As JJ puts her headphones over her ears, Bob grabs a microphone as he begins to belt out, "Owl Always Love You", extremely off key. The sound is far worse than nails going down a chalk board, and that’s pretty awful! Scaredy Cat interrupts Bob’s screeching. "Bob, you do know you are singing it wrong. It’s supposed to be ‘I'll always love you, not Owl always love you.’". “Oh no, no, no” says Bob. “I'm celebrating owls since they are associated with wisdom, popular folklore, celebrations, school, special events and even love themes.” Bob goes on to explain the way to do this his way: “just substitute ‘owl’ on certain phrases and songs and that's all there is to it.” "Owl do I love thee, let me count the ways" says Scaredy Cat in his best Shakespearean voice. “You’ve got the idea! Now let's sing!” The trio then starts singing “Owl You Need is Love. Love is Owl you need.” Scaredy Cat wishes he’d brought a pair of headphones like JJ did. The sound of Bob’s singing voice is painful and is making his head hurt. Guess he’ll just have to ignore that horrible sound so that he can have fun with his friends.

In this week’s art challenge, we’re celebrating owls. How do you think you can use your creative imagination as you join in the celebration of these wise birds? You might try to come up with some inspiring owl quotes, titles, or art. Oftentimes, you’ll see owls as icons or symbols on pages. As a symbol, owls evoke victory, wisdom, or solitude. You'll often see them used on pages dedicated to graduation and other scholastic endeavors. Some may recall that there was an advert many years ago for a favorite lollipop that featured an owl eating the said lollipop. Owls have also been associated with Halloween and Harry Potter. It's a real hoot! For more creative ideas, check out Pinterest (they’ve got tons of ideas) or this site: https://www.thesprucecrafts.com/owl-themed-quotes-...
