Kabloonik and PingPing are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

Minnie the Moo-cher and Kabloonik treated themselves to a generous portion of the delicious-looking snack at the next stall to help get over quite a scary ride!

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

Pony Pony, just about to board the next ride, paused and looked around the fairground. "I was just wondering if they had one of those nice, gentle rides where you sit in, you know, giant teacups," he said wistfully. Kabloonik grinned. "C'mon, Pony Pony, this ride should be on your bucket list! Not that you're going to kick the bucket for many years yet!"

Suzy Q and Kabloonik bumped into each other at the food stand. “Granny used to make this for us when we were young,” said Suzy Q. “I wonder if this will be as good?”

The ride had started off fairly gently, but was now gathering speed at a great rate! Choco and Kabloonik had met just as it was starting and had managed to shake paws and say “Hello” before the ride deprived them both of breath!

@ Blue Sky Wheeling
Whilst other pets were staggering dizzily off the ride, Laila Lu and Kabloonik decided to go round again!

Big wheel installations became an icon of World's Fairs and Exhibitions and an example at Earl's Court in London erected in 1894 expressed fine engineering combined with opulence. Meanwhile, across the Pond, George Ferris led the way in big wheel design.

The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!

“Hi, Kabloonik!” called out Venus. “Are you going to join me in having a tasty snack before we go on the other rides?” Kabloonik ordered his own portion, and Venus passed a paper serviette to him.

As your day at the fairgrounds comes to a close, there's nothing like biting into a crisp red apple covered with warm, sticky caramel to celebrate all of the fun you've had in the water, high up on ferris wheels and screaming your lungs out on scary roller coasters!

“That should keep me going till I get home tonight,” said Henrietta Humperdink to Kabloonik, while crumpling her used food container and placing it carefully in a litter bin.
“Or at least until the next food stall!” observed Kabloonik.
