The waiter placed milky-looking drinks in tumblers before Nesi and Jeffrey Beeman. "It smells, good, Jeffrey Beeman, what is it?" queried Nesi.
"It's Boza, an ancient fermented drink usually made from wheat, millet, barley, oats or bulgur. It's believed to have originated in Turkey more than 8000 years ago!"
"Are they hazelnuts on top?" asked Nesi.
"No, they're actually crunchy roasted chickpeas, and a dusting of cinnamon!"

These are often made with garlic, nuts and spices, which are served with fresh bread, locally produced olive oil and, if it’s in season, pomegranate syrup.'"
