Mac was becoming increasingly irritated with the constant clicking and beeping of mole's camera disturbing the peace and quiet, so Mac moved purposefully on without him!

It's at night when some plants and flowers give off their most intense scent, or perhaps it's also that after the air has cleared from the clamour of the day, we have more chance of detecting their perfume. Breathing deeply in a pine forest has proven benefits to the lungs!

Have you ever felt a sense of joy as you stand next to an awe-inspiring waterfall? It is said that waterfalls can make us happy. Even though some might dismiss this as an old pets’ tale, there does seem to be some scientific thinking behind the theory that waterfalls generate positive vibes. Waterfalls are considered to be one giant ion generator— the watery downpour gives off negative ions, which we take in as positive energy. Once the negative ions reach our bloodstream, they are said to increase our bodies’ production of serotonin, which is the chemical responsible for relieving stress and depression, and for boosting our energy and happiness. So it’s not surprising we might feel so great when we’re around waterfalls!

Don't you just wish you were here? A beautiful river with exciting twists and turns, pine trees varying in colour from dark green to gold, rocky outcrops and distant conifer-clad peaks conspire to make this the most delightful of spots!

One of the benefits of being on an island is having the glorious sea all around. Whatever its changing face, according to the weather, we are reminded of its constant energy at all times as waves crash onto the shore and draw back, dragging a myriad pebbles and shells in their wake.

@ Island: Alcona
Mac finally makes it back to the landing stage, where Delilah is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Mac pockets a map of Alcona as a momento. The guidebook says:

From its sandy landing cove the pets have a stimulating journey on their mystery tour round Alcona. Rivers and waterfalls, mountains and trees, there's something for everypet, including seeing a quirky hedge as they approach the stepping stones ready to board their boat again!
