The poppy can have many symbolic meanings in different cultures, for example, restful sleep and recovery. For others, it is a cheery harbinger of summer because of its size and intense colors. On this island there is a huge swathe of red poppies, providing a feast for the eyes and senses.

Arriving at such a wonderful location spurred Chippy on to keep on trekking. However Misty sat down, refusing to budge, complaining of blisters on her paws...

Chippy finally makes it back to the landing stage, where Fox is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Chippy pockets a map of L'île Mystère as a momento. The guidebook says:

What an adventure this island will prove to be! There are opportunities for rambling up hill and down dale, and splendid views across lakes and mountains. There are fields of aromatic and colourful flowers. At one point in their exploration the pets will meet a huge reptile but rest assured—it will do no harm! Bon voyage!
