Ogmar and Jeff are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground South
Roll up! Roll up! After sunset the fairground is transformed into a glittering arena of swirling lights, with a backdrop of squawks, yelps and howls from pets clinging on for dear life to the scary rollercoaster and whirling round on the fluorescently lit big wheel! The best view is of course from the top, so c'mon, everypet, and have the experience of your life! For pets preferring a gentler ride, hold on tightly to the reins while our carousel horses look after you on a circular journey under a blue starry canopy. Then it's time to indulge in candy, popcorn, gingerbread and pumpkin pie made from the fall harvest! Hopefully everypet will have enough silver moles left to buy a magnificent helium balloon to take home ...

Ogmar encountered Orpheus at the fairground. “Have you been on this ride yet, Orpheus?” asked Ogmar. “It’s quite an experience!”

@ Roller Coaster Boaster
“C’mon, T.C., let’s check out this ride!" chirped Ogmar happily. “I can’t wait to get me some g-force!” T.C. trotted—not quite so enthusiastically—in Ogmar’s wake.

Beauty and Ogmar watched the antics on the waterslide as they stood in the line of pets waiting to board the next ride. "Remember when Foxy leant too far over the bridge in Meadowlands that time, and fell in the pond with a huge splash?" asked Ogmar. "My stomach muscles ached from laughing for days!"

"No, that's fine, thank you, Ivy Delightful Cheeks! I'm just going to dive in!" (which, in a manner of speaking, he then did).

Suri and Ogmar bumped into each other at the food stand. “Granny used to make this for us when we were young,” said Suri. “I wonder if this will be as good?”

From the queue, Lady Jane nervously eyed the fairground ride whirling beside herself and Ogmar. “What if the cable breaks?” she asked. “Oh, that won’t be a problem!” said Ogmar airily. “They can always get another one!”

"I know someone who was fired from their job operating rides at a carnival," Ogmar told Starlight. "Their lawyer advised suing for funfair dismissal!"

Helium is the second lightest and second most abundant element in the observable universe. Its use in filling balloons for our delight is a very minor one, but one we love!
