Nancy is questing! Episode 1/25

Nancy and her friend, Charlie, take their time strolling through town, discussing their plans for the upcoming weekend when a strange cloud starts to roll up the street.

Nancy is questing! Episode 2/25

Very quickly the strange cloud engulfs Charlie. Nancy panics, not knowing what to do. Call for help? Squawk? Run in circles? Press a non-existent panic button? All too soon the cloud swallows Nancy as well.

Nancy is questing! Episode 3/25

Nancy and Charlie find themselves transported into a small room filled with musical instruments! Despite their strange transportation, the oddest thing of all is their disturbance of the various instruments made no sound at all!

Nancy and Charlie jump as a cockatoo comes flying into the room, silently landing on a nearby drum set. The cockatoo starts to squawk, or chirp, or something, but no sound can be heard. Nancy opens her mouth to speak, finding her own voice is gone!

Nancy is questing! Episode 4/25

Another new comer! A strangely clothed animal with an instrument comes into the room, mouth opening and closing again with no sound to be heard.

Charlie starts to silently knock their paw on the floor in a rhythmic pattern, asking Nancy what they are all talking about. Nancy responds with her own silent knocking, letting her friend know she is just as lost.

The cockatoo and musician look at each other in dismay, when suddenly the musician starts moving around erratically, trying to tell their story.

Nancy is questing! Episode 5/25

Between knocks and charades, Nancy and Charlie have discovered the cockatoo (who they now know is named Catherine, or Cat, for short) is a magician who cast a spell to summon the "Legendary Saviors" to help return sound to their world. Nancy and Charlie try to explain they're no Legendary Saviors, but neither Cat nor the musician known as "Bardle the Bard", would believe them!

Nancy sighs in exasperation and she and her friend are shoved into a vehicle along with Cat and Bardle to set off on an adventure neither of them even agreed to!

Nancy is questing! Episode 6/25

As they drive along, Cat uses the rhythmic knocking she entirely and unbelievably too quickly learned from Charlie to better explain what they are searching to find.

"--- ..-. / -.-. --- ..- .-. ... .," Nancy knocks to Charlie, "-- -.-- ... - .. -.-. .- .-.. --..-- / -- .- --. .. -.-. .- .-.. / -- ..- ... .. -.-. / -. --- - . ... .-.-.- / .... --- .-- / --- -... ...- .. --- ..- ... .-.-.-"

Nancy is questing! Episode 7/25

Charlie signals for Bardle to pull over, jumping quickly from the vehicle. Nancy looks around not understanding where they are or what Charlie is doing.

Charlie places their ear to the ground, perking up and turning to Nancy, knocking fervently, "- .... . .-. . .----. ... / ... --- -- . - .... .. -. --. / .... . .-. . .-.-.- / .. / -.-. .- -. / ..-. . . .-.. / .. - .-.-.-"

A much-too-excited Cat and Bardle race out from the vehicle, leaving Nancy little choice but to follow.

Nancy is questing! Episode 8/25

Standing at the base of a mountain made out of.. candy? Cat quickly explains how the Notes can be located through sound, or in the current case, the vibrations of sound.

Nancy finds Cat entirely too smug about her abilities as a magician, claiming all their previous arguments to the two newcomers not being Legendary Saviors has now been proven false by Charlie's ability to feel the vibrations.

Nancy sighs, giving up trying to convince their crazy petnappers to see reality. At least Charlie seems to be having fun.

Nancy is questing! Episode 9/25

Following Charlie's ability to feel the vibrations of the Notes, the ragtag group make their way up the (slightly sticky) mountainside.

"--- .... / -. --- -.-.-- / -- -.-- / .... .- - -.-.--" Cat knocks fervently as a strong breeze rips her head covering away.

Slipping and sliding across suspicious damp jellybeans, Charlie leads them to a bundle of cotton candy bushes, where the first missing Note has found itself stuck.

Nancy is questing! Episode 10/25

With the first Note in Cat's hands (er, wings), Bardle decides the best way down the candy mountain isn't the way they came, but a series of lilac waterfalls. Nancy's knocking objections are ignored as Bardle jumps into the tumbling water.

Nancy is questing! Episode 11/25

Nancy finds herself in disbelief as their journey down the waterfalls resulted in no harm to anypet. But her relief is short-lived as she finds herself being dragged down further to the depths of the small lake in which they landed.

Nancy sighs inwardly, knowing it's useless to fight the current dragging them along, finding herself wishing she and Charlie had stayed home instead of going for a walk.

The unforgiving current delivers Nancy and her companions to the mouth of an underwater cave. Charlie quickly alerts the others to the feel of more vibrations, leading them further into the dark, damp cave. Cat and Bardle share in silent excited shouting and dancing as Charlie successfully discovers a second Note.

Nancy is questing! Episode 13/25

Nancy tosses her head back, letting out a silent frustrated yell as they continue to walk in circles around the underwater cave. Bardle insisted on leading them out, but Nancy swears she's seen that same stalagmite five times now.

Ready to try arguing for someone else to lead, Nancy finds herself once again surprised as they enter a new section of the cave, finding a small ray of light and a large number of hanging vines.

"- --- .-.. -.. / -.-- --- ..- / .. / -.- -. . .-- / - .... . / .-- .- -.-- / --- ..- - -.-.--" Bardle knocks on his instrument.

Nancy is questing! Episode 14/25

Climbing the mass of vines out of the cave, Nancy yelps silently in alarm as the cave falls away below them, the vines lifting their group high into the sky. The others seem either unaware of their predicament, or simply don't care, as Charlie finds another Note tangled within the vines.

Nancy is questing! Episode 15/25

Questioning why she's here at all (what with Charlie being able to find these missing notes all on their own), Nancy is forced back into reality as she feels the tension on the vines snap silently away. One by one the vines are ripped from their supports, sending Nancy and her companions freefalling through the sky.

Nancy is questing! Episode 16/25

Nancy is surprised for the entirely-too-many-inth time, when a floating island happens to pass by at the exact right moment to catch her and her companions. Bardle starts moving his mouth fervently, his arms flailing as everyone stares at his silent rant in confusion.

Nancy is questing! Episode 17/25

Not waiting to explain himself in a manner the others would understand, Bardle races toward the edge of the floating island. A silent collective gasp is given as Bardle leaps to a smaller island passing by - another Note and Cat's missing hat waiting for him. Nancy closes her eyes, giving a silent prayer to whomever may be listening, before leaping across after the others.

Nancy is questing! Episode 18/25

Nancy silently wonders how many more of these Notes they need to find, regretting not paying more attention when Cat was explaining things in the vehicle. Slowly the floating island meanders its way to some waterfalls.

How any waterfalls managed to form high up in the sky away from any visible land or water source Nancy can't fathom. But seeing as it's the only other land-ish structure around, they jump across one by one.

Nancy is questing! Episode 19/25

Trying not to slip on the wet stones of the bizarre floating waterfalls, Nancy watches as the others discuss possible ways of escaping their current predicament to continue their search.

Cat knocks, telling there is only one Note remaining to be found. Once located all five Notes must be returned to their pedestals for the magic to work properly.

Nancy finds herself sighing again, missing her home and bed, when something within the falling water catches her eye.

Nancy is questing! Episode 20/25

Nancy grasps frantically as the final missing Note rushes down the water. Losing her balance, Nancy silently splashes into the water, being swept away with the Note.

Charlie quickly dives from their safe perch after Nancy, Cat and Bardle following after. One by one they drop from the bottom of the waterfalls, and into a thick mysterious cloud materializing below them.

Nancy is questing! Episode 21/25

With multiple silent thumps, Nancy and her companions drop one by one out of the mysterious cloud and onto a frosty hillside. Miraculously Charlie managed to grab the final Note before entering the cloud.

Cat knocks excitedly on one of the pillars staggered around the hillside, urging them to place the found Notes onto the pedestals.

Nancy is questing! Episode 22/25

As the final Note is placed on its pedestal, a small whirlwind envelopes Nancy and her companions, quickly spreading out beyond Nancy's field of vision. Bardle falling over with a loud yelp! is all the proof they need to know sound has been restored.

Nancy looks over at Cat and speaks, finding the sound of her voice strange to her ears, "Does this mean we get to go home now?"

Nancy is questing! Episode 23/25

Much to Nancy's dismay, but to Charlie's amusement, Cat and Bardle throw a parade in honour of their "Legendary Saviors". Not bothering to question who picked up the vehicle they abandoned at the mountain side, Nancy did her best to remain stoically quiet through the parade, knowing a celebration to this degree must have been planned far ahead of time.

Nancy is questing! Episode 24/25

Though her groan was drowned out by the volume of Bardle's voice, Nancy's face displayed all her anguish at having to sit through Bardle's very poorly written (and even more poorly sung) rendition of "The Grand Adventure of the Legendary Saviors".

Charlie chuckled quietly, knocking their paw at Nancy. ".-. . .-.. .- -..- --..-- / -.-. .- - / ... .- .. -.. / .-- . / -.-. .- -. / --. --- / .... --- -- . / .- ..-. - . .-. / -... .- .-. -.. .-.. . / .. ... / ..-. .. -. .. ... .... . -.. .-.-.-"

".-- .. .-.. .-.. / .... . / . ...- . .-. / ..-. .. -. .. ... .... ..--.." Nancy knocked back, groaning again as Bardle began his 78th verse.

Nancy is questing! Episode 25/25

"... . . ..--.. / - .... .- - / .-- .- ... -. .----. - / ... --- / -... .- -.." Charlie knocked to Nancy several hours later, a sack of gold by his side. ".-- . / --. --- - / ... --- -- . / ..-. ..- -. --..-- / ... --- -- . / . -..- . .-. -.-. .. ... . --..-- / .- -. / .- -.. ...- . -. - ..- .-. . --..-- / .- -. -.. / ... --- -- . / --. --- .-.. -.. -.-.--"

".. / -. . ...- . .-. / .-- .- -. - / - --- / --. --- / --- -. / .- -. / .- -.. ...- . -. - ..- .-. . / .- --. .- .. -." Nancy responded before walking through the portal Cat conjured for them.

Charlie began knocking frantically as soon as they crossed through the portal, Nancy didn't wait for them to finish before turning around to shout at Cat - finding herself a moment too late. The portal vanished as Nancy angrily shouted "This isn't home!"
