The flag of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations dates from King Charles II colonial times and was officially adopted in 1897, with minor changes. The flag comprises a white field, with thirteen golden stars, representing the original thirteen colonies and the fact Rhode Island was the thirteenth and last colony to sign the Declaration of Independence. The state motto, "HOPE", is written with golden letters in a blue ribbon, below a golden anchor, that also represents hope, in reference to Biblical phrase "Hope we have as an anchor of the soul" (Hebrews 6:18-19).

Easter and spring are times of joy as the earth awakens, plants are pushing forth from the soil, and the days are becoming warmer. Many baby animals are born in the spring, and life is burgeoning. May these eggs bring you joy and be a reminder of the earth renewing itself.

"I think there'll be quite a few tired paws, wings and flippers when we get back to the tour bus," said BOB, after it and Kicsi had spent some time exploring another narrow, winding alleyway to its end.
"Is there a gift shop at the end?" enquired Kicsi. "The thought of that generally keeps me going."

“If there's time at the end of the day when we get back to our accommodation, I might do some initial sketches for a watercolour painting," Emily said, offering Kicsi a Reese's peanut butter cup from the bag and then unwrapping one for herself.
“That sounds like a good plan, Emily!" said Kicsi. "Very relaxing, and your painting will be a great souvenir of the Eastern Seaboard of the USA!"
