The first painted eggs came from Mesopotamia, and because eggs were forbidden food during Lent, people painted eggs while Lent was being observed—after Lent, they would eat the eggs on Easter Day.

Beautifully decorated eggs “pysanka” are associated with Ukraine, and the oldest painted egg that was unearthed in northern Ukraine is dated to the end of the 17th century.

"I think there'll be quite a few tired paws, wings and flippers when we get back to the tour bus," said Cherokee, after he and Kicsi had spent some time exploring another rural pathway to its end and meeting nearby inhabitants.
"Is there a gift shop at the end?" enquired Kicsi. "The thought of that generally keeps me going."

“I'm starving!” exclaimed Kicsi. "What's Chef making us tonight?"
Marty Mole glanced up from his tour guide, in which he had been looking up where they were going the next day. “How come you're so hungry, Kicsi?”
Kicsi pouted. "I was just unwrapping my lunch pack when a creature ran down the tree behind me, grabbed the lot and shot back up the tree!"
"Bad luck!" sympathised Marty Mole. "Here, have a banana to keep you going."

Echidna Foraging
If you can't spell Echidna, you can just type in spiny anteater! Because they are my favorite dinner! AND what makes me special, I am a mammal that lays eggs! Those platypus' get all the limelight!

Kicsi and Midnite agreed that the variety of environments on their expedition was the best ever! Kicsi and Midnite exchanged opinions on which their favourite terrain had been so far, and which was the most interesting creature they had met in their travels!

My brilliant plumage has also earned me the nickname of Rainbow Pheasant, and my gorgeous array of feathers originally hailed from China, but you'll find that we were a desired export, and have adapted well to other places!

“I’ve written a postcard to my aunty to tell her about our amazing safari!” said Kicsi. “She’ll wish she was here! Where’s the nearest postbox?”
Cherrie shielded her eyes and rotated 360°, elaborately scanning the horizon. “I don’t think they’ve thought to provide a postbox here, Kicsi. How remiss of them!” Seeing Kicsi’s ears beginning to droop, Cherrie added, “Don’t worry, you can give your card to reception at the hotel to post.”

Nocturnal by nature, you'll find me hiding by day in the dark leafy greens in your garden. We tried to ramp up our street cred by saying we were vampires, but we lacked the fangs to back up the claim.

Valley Between the Hills
The hidden valley between these hills is a popular locale for the smaller pets of PnF. Housing a city most pets overlook, the tiny prints of pets have made history with the largest tiny museum, art gallery, and comedy club in existence.

Kicsi has enjoyed meeting "Exotic" pets, but it is time to go home now! All Creatures Great and Small is over now, but there will be more events in PnF soon!
