Wally went out and brushed the old covered bridge clear of snow and cleaned the windows. The tour guide had explained that putting roofs on bridges, far from being a quaint, pointless old custom, actually protected the bridge from bad weather, made the whole structure stronger and had a calming influence on livestock having to cross the bridge over rushing water.

There was so much to do here! Wally and the other pets had a riding lesson, had great fun in the famous Corn Maze, had an exciting time on a gondola skyride and a trek with zipwire adventures, they visited the art gallery and the museum, went mountain biking, went on the Ben & Jerry's factory tour, and had a helicopter ride! In the evening they attended a performance by the local drama group and then went on a lantern-lit tour of the town!
