@ Canada Goose prepares for take-off!

I took some breakfast sedges, seeds and berries to this flock of Canada geese to say hello! My friend here was just stretching his wings prior to taking off!

@ Old red truck

Here's a splendid old vehicle looking like it's in need of a little TLC! It didn't take long to round up a few pets, and we got busy with buckets of water, sponges and turtle wax! It was quite a transform­ation!

The best picnic place ever! Henry of Pelham & family have lived here for gener­­ations, and their vines have deep roots! Their wines capture this unique connect­­ion to their corner of Niagara. Red wines are aged in a combin­­ation of French and American oak. Santé! And bon appetit!

This is the campus of my favourite university! It was here that I helped set up a confidential counsell­­ing service for all pets suffer­­ing from home­sick­ness, stress and anxiety during their time here. It's no fun to be away from home, your family and friends, and to find yourself struggl­ing to cope with a strange environ­ment.

@ Niagara Waterfall Mist

This is Ontario's top tourist attraction! It's a couple of hours' drive from Toronto. Did you know that the equival­ent water content of a million bath­tubs go over the edge every single minute? And just look at the power of that water­fall! It's easy to fall into a trance watch­ing it, so do take especial care if you visit, chaps and chapesses!

This is Ontario Place, which I just love! If you're ever in this neck of the woods (Lake Shore Blvd, West Toronto), you must come and visit the Cine­sphere and Marina. It looks stun­ning lit up at night!

A lot of pets are nervous of thunder­storms. This thunder­cloud certainly looks very threaten­ing! It's import­ant to feel safe in extreme weather like storms, so if possible, stay at home wrapped in your favourite blanket with some sooth­ing music playing and a comfort­ing snack to hand.

@ We are sailing ...

Sailing brings with it many health benefits. Apart from being good exercise, the sound of waves alters wave patterns in the brain lull­ing you into a deep­ly relaxed state which can help rejuven­ate the mind and body. Sea­water is good for the skin. Sea air is charg­ed with negative ions that aid the absorp­tion of oxygen and balance levels of sera­tonin, and the sun helps us feel relaxed and can aid heal­ing. So a good all-rounder!

Elderly pets like to take a gentle airing in this fine park, and my band of happy volunt­eer pets take care to keep this fine display of tulips weed­ed and water­ed for the enjoy­ment of all!

It's always good to have green parks to get away from the tall city build­ings! The trees here help hide the structures behind them. We keep the little hedges trimm­ed and the flower beds weed­ed and tidy for the enjoy­ment of all!

@ Casa Loma

Built in 1914, this castle on a hill over­looking Toronto is a treasured heri­tage land­mark. At Casa Loma, you can explore three levels of elaborate­ly decorat­ed rooms. I organised a Lost Pets meet­ing point for when puppies and kittens get distract­ed by the exhibits, go off explor­ing and get separat­ed from their parents. We console the wail­ing pups and kitties until they are happily re­united with their family!

Groups of pets visiting the Niagara Falls can find it a little over­whelming! We make sure that they have suit­able protective cloth­ing so that they can enjoy their trip to the full!

@ Harbour front boat

Quite literally the pointy end of this ship! Our volun­teer band give guided tours to young pets convalesc­ing from ill­ness. If they want to try and recreate a certain scene from Titanic by inching for­ward onto the bow­sprit, we are on hand to make sure they don life­jackets first!

The best spot to be! Every Sunday afternoon, my little band of volunt­eers brings elder­ly and house­­bound pets to relax in this secluded place by the sea, to chat or just enjoy each other's company.
