Athens was their next destination, a city that seemed to have been plucked from the pages of a history book. The pets were excited as they approached the grandeur of the Acropolis. The ancient citadel rose above the city like a crown of marble and stone that bore witness to the power and wisdom of the civilisation that had once called it home. The coach pulled up to the base of the hill, and they all piled out, stretching their legs and squinting against the bright sun.

The air was filled with the scent of sun-baked earth and the distant hum of the city. They began the ascent, the path winding upward through the remnants of ancient walls and ruins. Their paws tapped out a steady rhythm on the stone steps. As they climbed higher, the city sprawled out below them, a tapestry of white and blue, with the occasional splash of green from the rooftop gardens.

"You'll have seen we use a different alphabet in Greece!" Dimitri chuckled. "Some are the same as in the Roman alphabet that you use. For example, capital A and B are alpha and beta. Many Greek letters are used in maths and science. Other countries in Europe that don't use the Roman alphabet are Cyprus, Russia, Georgia, Belarus, Bulgaria and Armenia."
