Episode 1/25:
A regular movie goer in the past, FengShui’s favourite movie of all time is The Little Mermaid!

But it feels like a very long time since FengShui last went to the movies, so he accepts a one-week free trial to stream online movies. The only problem is that he has to choose just one of the many categories of movies to watch during his free trial.

After careful consideration, FengShui decides he will choose the category of movies that includes underwater, ocean, island and beach themes.

This category especially appeals to FengShui, because his annual seaside holiday has had to be postponed this year, and he wants to cram as much summer fun into his week of movies as he possibly can!

When FengShui logs into PetFlix and enters his category, he is awarded 25 tokens to use for 25 movies. Choose a name is not even remotely surprised that the first movie FengShui settles down to watch is the re-make of The Little Mermaid!

Episode 2/25:
When FengShui tunes into Petflix to watch a Flipper re-run, he is delighted to receive a pet octopus just for logging in a second time! The little octopus tells FengShui that its name is “Channel Surfer”, or “Chan” for short. FengShui invites Chan home to share his couch and his popcorn (but not his remote control, about which FengShui is understandably possessive!).

Episode 3/25:
After playing "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe" to decide what to watch next, FengShui and Chan settle in to enjoy Storm Boy. FengShui is especially excited to watch the PetFlix version, because the trailer says there are no duck shooters in any PetFlix movies, and he can’t wait to find out what happens to Mr Percival at the end!

However PetFlix has another surprise in store for FengShui! A special login reward of a spiky little slug! Winking at Chan, the slug tells FengShui that its name is “Binge”, and that it loves watching movies (hint, hint), so FengShui invites Binge home, warning him that although he will share his couch, popcorn and movies, he never shares the remote control!

Episode 4/25:
FengShui dims the lights, while Chan positions the popcorn on the coffee table, and Binge makes sure the remote control is back on the arm rest of FengShui’s chair, where it is supposed to be all of the time! The three friends wriggle their butts to get comfortable, before hunkering down for a long session of Binge’s favourite activity. Bingeing!

FengShui lets rip a rather high pitched squeal when he discovers PetFlix has the entire series of Board Watch available for streaming (or steaming?), starring David Cockelhoff and Lisa Henderson in their skimpy feathers!

Episode 5/25:
Once evening falls, and the friends’ plankton pizza has been delivered and devoured, FengShui begins surfing the menu for a late night thriller or horror movie, and he finds two tidal wave movies to choose from: The Petseidon Adventure and 2012. Binge looks askance at FengShui, stomping his spikes and insisting they watch both! Fearing Petza Hut had slipped some red cordial into the tomato sauce on their pizza, FengShui hurriedly agrees, suspecting that Binge will not fall asleep any time soon!

Episode 6/25:
Handing his little friends a hat each to get them into the mood for their next tale, FengShui puts a rather rustic looking coconut cream pie and a hand of bananas onto the coffee table. Taking up the remote control, FengShui begins singing “Just sit right back and you’ll hear a tale…” as he tunes into Series 1, Episode 1 of one of his favourite television shows on PetFlix. Gilligan’s Island!

Episode 8/25:
Electing to continue to face their fears head on and grow as pets, the earnest friends select a philosophical story of survival and faith for their next movie!

Having read the book, FengShui is a little disappointed with the movie version of Life of Pi. But Chan and Binge are captivated by the tiger, and wishing to appear brave, they tell FengShui they wish he had invited one to join them on the couch for this viewing. Be very careful what you wish for, little pets, because pet tigers are much BIGGER than they look on FengShui’s screen and they are carnivores!

Episode 9/25:
Wishing to continue to face their deepest fears from the safety of FengShui’s comfy sofa, the friends choose a movie about growing up for their next viewing.

PetFlix transports them to a magical world of fairies, flight and good triumphing over evil! Chan and Binge are enchanted with Petter Pan! Looking at each other, Binge thinks that Chan’s bright green outfit would be a perfect fit for the part of “Petter Pan” and Chan thinks Binge's appearance would be perfect for “Stinkerbell” in the local stage show!

Episode 10/25:
FengShui, Chan and Binge all sit on the edge of their seats, biting their paw nails down to the quick, as the deep sea salvage team are attacked by a giant mutant monster, one after the other, after recovering some of the contents from the shipwreck Leviathan!

FengShui races to his bedroom, to grab a pillow to bury his face in during the scariest parts, while Chan grips Binge tightly with all eight of his tentacles, and Binge’s spikes all stand to attention in “fight or flight” mode!

Episode 11/25:
After listening to Chan sonorously singing “My Heart Will Go On” in the shower, FengShui decides to surprise Chan by choosing Titanic for their next PetFlix movie! Ever helpful, Binge pops the corn, and places a few neatly folded handkerchiefs on the coffee table next to the popcorn.

Episode 12/25:
When Binge asks FengShui if they can watch “the Nemo movie” next, FengShui searches for “Nemo” on PetFlix. The first PetFlix search result (in chronological order) is submarine Captain Nemo in the 1954 movie 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Binge is more than a little miffed when an old black and white movie fills the screen, but disaster is quickly averted when FengShui promises Binge they will “watch the other Nemo movie next!”

Episode 13/25:
FengShui transports Chan and Binge “down under” with a special viewing of Finding Nemo. Binge feels that he can relate to Nemo, because some fish consider Binge’s appearance a little unusual! Binge also thinks that Chan resembles Dory, because Chan forgot to pop the corn, an unforgivable breach of movie watching etiquette! On the other hand, FengShui is too busy weeping to think much at all, except to feel grateful he has flood cover for his home and contents!

Episode 14/25:
FengShui flicks through the PetFlix menu, looking for something light and funny to lift their spirits, and selects Splash. This is an easy choice for FengShui, who has a secret pet crush on The Little Fox’Maid, cast in the lead role in the PetFlix remake of the original 1984 film!

Episode 15/25:
A fan of the classics and of action and adventure, Chan gets to choose the next movie. Chan can relate to the hero in Moby Dick, because Chan himself has had a couple of close encounters with killer whales, and he is very much attached to all eight of his own lovely long tentacles!

Episode 16/25:
Chan and Binge grow restless when FengShui can’t make up his mind what movie he wants to watch next, and keeps flicking backwards and forwards between the animated Yellow Submarine and the old black and white war movie The Frogmen.

Binge sighs very loudly, hoping that FengShui will take the hint and settle on one movie or the other, before Chan has to put his tentacles to good use tying FengShui up, while Binge takes over the remote control!

Episode 17/25:
FengShui plays a guessing game with Chan and Binge, giving them clues about what their next movie is. Their first clue is that it is Disney’s first animated science fiction film. Their second clue is that it was released in 2001. Their third and final clue is that it stars Michael J Fox.

Binge whispers to Chan, asking him if Michael J is one of the foxees in Liron’s collection? “No, silly,” Chan whispers back, “He’s a vertically challenged hooman actor!”

“Oh,” says Chan, bouncing up and down on the sofa, “I think I know what it is! Is it Atlantis: The Lost Empire?".

Episode 18/25:
Hoping to even the score, Binge demands another guessing game for their next movie! FengShui capitulates and for their first clue advises that this is a Warner Brothers film. Their second clue is that it was released in 2018. And their third and final clue is that it stars Daenerys Stormborn’s late husband. It is clear that Chan knows the answer, but politely refrains from blurting it out, to give Binge a chance to guess it. Fortunately Binge is a Game of Thrones fan, and he was actually terrified of the big scary dude Daenerys married, so he paid attention when he saw him in the trailers for Aquaman!

Episode 19/25:
The friends all agree their next movie should be one about sunken treasure, so FengShui searches PetFlix for action movies about sunken treasure. After viewing a few trailers, they agree that The Deep looks like “an oldie but a goodie” and make themselves comfortable with extra large bowls of popcorn!

Episode 20/25:
Looking for another old movie to watch, the friends spot the trailer for the submarine spy movie Fantastic Voyage on PetFlix, and decide to give it a try. But the movie creeps Binge out so much, he hides under the sofa and refuses to come out for the rest of the night!

Episode 21/25:
Surfing PetFlix for an action film with a nice moral to it, FengShui finds the trailers for Robinson Crusoe, and Binge jumps up and down with excitement! FengShui and Chan make eye contact over Binge’s head, and Chan winks at FengShui, thinking the older pets will probably get a bit more out of the movie than Binge. But then, isn’t a good movie just like an onion? With enough layers to satisfy different viewers with different desires and expectations?

Episode 22/25:
Binge enjoyed their last shipwreck movie so much, that he pleads with FengShui for another one! Raising one eyebrow (mistaking himself for Tom Selleck, perhaps?), FengShui looks a question at Chan, who whispers “Wilson” back at FengShui. Fortunately FengShui experiences a rare lightbulb moment, and he quickly finds Castaway on the PetFlix menu, and clicks Play!

Episode 23/25:
“Your turn to choose the next movie, Chan,” FengShui generously offers. Chan is delighted, fearing that FengShui’s free movie tokens would run out before the friends got around to watching the PetFlix remake of The Octopi Family Robinson! And PetFlix has a very special offer for the first 100 viewers of their new movie! Their very own super sized Octopus! Chan is ecstatic, and FengShui is pretty pleased as well! But Binge thinks one octopus is enough for any family, and silently wishes PetFlix was offering free steak knives instead!!!

Episode 24/25:
In the trailers from their last movie, FengShui notices that PetFlix has also just released a sequel to Pirates of the Petibbean, and wonders if there might be a very special offer for the viewers of this movie too? Surely not? But there was! And so, as one of the first 100 pet households to view the new movie, the friends win a glorious “Sunken Remains”, which would take pride of place in FengShui’s front garden forever more!

Episode 25/25:
With only one free movie token remaining, the friends really, really want to end their movie-watching binge with something special! They sit around earnestly discussing their options, and have no difficulty agreeing that a “feel good” movie about a sea creature would be the perfect way to end things. So, in a rare act of trust, FengShui allows Binge to push the play button, and Free Willy fills their screen!

And just as Jesse must farewell Willy at the end, we also need to farewell FengShui now, and resume our Underwater Adventures with a new pet!
