Pipkin and COVID-19 are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground North
All the fun of the fair is here to provide your pet with entertainment and thrills, from waterslide to big wheel. And has your pet a strong enough stomach for a death-defying rollercoaster ride? To help restore your pet's equilibrium after all the excitements of the fairground rides, there are stalls selling hot potato snacks, popcorn, toffee apples, candy and delicious cakes and other yummy delights made from the autumn harvest produce! We hope everypet will leave clutching at least one of the fun carnival novelties!

While Night Wing was trying to decide whether to go for a medium or large size, Pipkin came up to say hello. “I’m going to go for super-size!” said Pipkin.

“Hey, Shadow!” called out Pipkin, as they shook paws. “This is quite a change from Snow Beach, isn’t it? I thought I’d got frostbite there! Here, have some of this yummy snack.”

Fairings is the traditional name for edible souvenirs sold at fairs throughout England. These ginger fairings became associated with Cornish fairs and are still popular in the region.

The ride had started off fairly gently, but was now gathering speed at a great rate! Hoppy and Pipkin had met just as it was starting and had managed to shake paws and say “Hello” before the ride deprived them both of breath!

Strawberry Daiquiri and Pipkin treated themselves to a generous portion of the delicious-looking snack at the next stall to help get over quite a scary ride!

"Mmmm—I probably shouldn't feel this way, but it's lovely to sit here scarfing French fries, doughnuts, candy floss and then a helping of this!" said Wise Owlexander.
"I think I'll join you!" said Pipkin.

“C’mon, Angus McGregor, let’s check out this ride!" chirped Pipkin happily. “I can’t wait to get me some g-force!” Angus McGregor trotted—not quite so enthusiastically—in Pipkin’s wake.

"Just listen to that old fairground pipe organ, Grace!" said Pipkin. "I love the painted figures, especially the conductor keeping time at the front. You can hear the music all over the fairground!"
"It certainly adds to the atmosphere," said Grace. "Hey, the ride's about to start! Let's see if we can hear the music from the top!"
Hair-raising Roller Coaster
The world's oldest roller coasters descended from specially constructed hills of snow in the gardens of palaces around the Russian capital, St Petersburg, in the 18th century. The slides were built to a height of between 70 ft - 80 ft (21-24 m), had a 50 degree drop. These slides became popular with the Russian upper class."Russian mountains" remains the term for roller coasters in many languages, such as Spanish (la montaña rusa), Italian (montagne russe), and French (les montagnes russes). Ironically, the Russian term for roller coaster, "amerikanskie gorki", translates literally as "American mountains."

Pipkin came up to the snackbar where the vendor was just handing over a very large portion to moo moo. "Gosh, moo moo, you're like those ravenous guinea pigs in Meadowlands! I'd never seen animals eating with such diligence before!"

As sunset falls, you enjoy the ever-changing view as you chug a little further upwards and then pause as each pod takes on its precious cargo of pets eager to enjoy the ride. Then when all the pods are full, the wheel starts to turn, building up speed!

“The trouble with eating this, Arthur,” observed Pipkin, “is that it’s very moreish. You really don’t want to stop at one portion!”
”Another go on that roller coaster will put a crimp on your appetite quite nicely, I’ve found!” said Arthur.

“Hi, Pipkin!” called out Asparagus. “Are you going to join me in having a tasty snack before we go on the other rides?” Pipkin ordered his own portion, and Asparagus passed a paper serviette to him.
