This rocky bay provides the perfect place for anypet to rest, play with the numerous pebbles and watch the changing patterns of sunlight on the stone outcrops and distant peaks, or perhaps to dip a cautious paw into the unceasing sea waves running in and back out.

Anypet will enjoy exploring the sand dunes with their sharply pointed grey-green leaves and large spikes of creamy-yellow flowers of marram grass in the summer, the backdrop to a sandy beach and the sea.

Purpuhlee looked around the scene in consternation, asking Freyja where she was supposed to plug in her iron and fur drier?

This beautiful little bay is irresistible to pets who can’t wait to scamper or flap over the golden sand to get to the top of the stony peninsula and gaze far out to the horizon over the sea.

While Purpuhlee was whistling through her teeth as they ambled through another breathtaking scene, Spark was secretly wishing he had packed ear plugs, or gaffer tape for Purpuhlee's mug!

Purpuhlee tumbled out of the tourist bus, flattening Stingray Mulder in the process, then wondering where the muffled groans were coming from?

Purpuhlee had to travel on alone, as Merlin declared he had found his nirvana, and had no intention of moving on!

As birds fly home to roost and busy pets retire for the night, the West Pasture in Aegis becomes darker and quiet in the setting sun, waiting for the first stirrings from nocturnal pets who are active during the night.

While Purpuhlee soaked in the view, Arty was searching her backpack for the bug spray, certain that her fur would be crawling with little biting critters once the sun went down!

@ Island: Aegis
Purpuhlee finally makes it back to the landing stage, where Carruthers is also about to embark and go home. What an adventure it has been! Purpuhlee pockets a map of Aegis as a momento. The guidebook says:

When their vessel carefully manoeuvres past the rocks to reach the landing stage, the pets can jump out and explore this delightful little island. There are beautiful, relaxing sandy beaches, rocky hills to climb, a viaduct and old castle ruin to explore, green pastures to take a picnic hamper, woods and forests to ramble in, rivers to jump over, apples to pick and there are flowers galore!
