Martinac is bored! He notices the strange appearance of something half buried while he takes his usual morning stroll (ablutions patrol). Flutterby happens to be taking a stroll too, enjoying the beautiful spring weather...
You raced Cookie for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Cookie the Tabby Cat. They both received one silver mole!
Hearing her name being called, Dorothy Sheep comes a-running, a-skipping, and a-leaping, fearing something has happened to Fou Fou, her darling bunny neighbour who takes a walk every morning to collect her veggies for the day. But Fou Fou is nowhere in sight?
You raced George for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with George the Blue Beautiful Unicorn. They both received one silver mole!
George gave you 1 "Operation Infiltration Sheep" size 7
It seems Fou Fou hears Martinac howl, and she thinks something has happened to Dorothy, so she puts the pedal to the metal, running in haste! She drops half of her veggies along the way. But when Fou Fou arrives, Flutterby is trying to work out how to carry the egg, thinking it might be worth grabbing her wheelbarrow.
You raced Flora for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Flora the Blue Beautiful Unicorn. They both received one silver mole!
With the help of her's wheelbarrow, our gang carries the egg home, wondering... Where it came from? What it contains? If it hatches, where the mother is? It is obvious that our gang is going to need help from the local bird species if they want their questions answered!
Well, well, well! It had been quite boring around here for a whole month, so when Flutterby mentioned the very talkative geese community on the neighbouring farm, our gang decide to go and inquire about the origin of the egg. Obviously they are assuming those know-it-all geese will have a clue...?
You raced piper for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with piper the Grey Playful Kitten. They both received one silver mole!
But when our gang arrives at the neighbouring farm, the chatterbox geese can only offer obscure hints, by singing 5 little ducks. Obviously a catchy little tune in its own right, but not an answer, surely?
You raced Marty Mole for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Marty Mole the Merry Mole. They both received one silver mole!
Marty Mole and you found 5 "Magic Spring Tree" size 4.
Having hopped all over the district, Fou Fou knows where 5 little ducks live, so she takes our gang there. And the 5 little ducks show them their nest, with many interesting coloured eggs, before quacking on about the very arrogant peacocks living a few miles away. A wild goose chase from the ducks, wonders Martinac, worrying about missing his afternoon nap!
You raced Max for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Max the Merry Mole. They both received one silver mole!
Meanwhile, in the Easter Islands, all of the bunnies are in lockdown, working super long hours and back-to-back shifts, knowing just how important it is to make Easter fun for everyone!
They were counting on Flutterby and our gang arriving, to help loading eggs full of surprises onto the waiting ships. "Teamwork makes the dream work," sighs Dorothy!
You raced Mork for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Mork the Lil Auk. They both received one silver mole!
Mork and you found 5 "Tempting Tub, With Flowers" size 4.
Very protective about their own eggs, the peacocks seem indifferent to our gang's desire to identify the mother of the large egg Martinac uncovered (digging for a bone, when he was supposed to be patrolling, if the truth be known!).
But wishing to get rid of our gang as quickly as possible, the peacocks blabber on about a couple of kingfishers living down by the sea, until our gang finally concur the kingfishers might be worth checking in with?
You raced Foxy Sir for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Foxy Sir the Red Feisty Fox. They both received one silver mole!
After having their feathers ruffled at every stop, our gang is shocked by the friendliness of the kingfishers! They actually have some ideas for our gang, and tell them strange eggs appear overnight then disappear. But they are not kingfisher eggs...
The kingfishers say they have some kind of hunch or gut feeling these eggs could belong to the mysterious group of hummingbirds living by the mountains. But they are not certain...
Flutterby and Dorothy thank them profusely, because helpfulness certainly seems to be a rare commodity amongst some of their featherbrained kindred!
You raced Punky for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Punky the Blue Beautiful Unicorn. They both received one silver mole!
Holding their heads to try and overcome the dizziness caused by all of the humming, our gang try and make sense of the stories the hummingbirds are humming at them so rapidly, but all any of them can make out is puff, puff, puff...
Dorothy would be over the moon if our gang had stumbled upon the land of Puff the Magic Dragon, but she reined in her hopes and dreams, as she had become accustomed to doing, never believing for a single second that Martinac had finally found a purple dragon egg...
You raced Mrs Wabbit for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Mrs Wabbit the Brown Rustic Rabbit. They both received one silver mole!
Mrs Wabbit gave you 1 "Dragon Of Peace, Flying" size 7
Our gang journeys on in the direction the hummingbirds indicate. As they arrive at the rocky shore, and ask the elder puffin about their mystery egg, he tells them all about the history of the hummingbirds, kingfishers, peacocks, ducks and geese.
Oh joy! An unsolicited history lesson. Just what every travelling troupe dreads! Our gang start feeling sleepy after hearing all the things they already know, patiently, respectfully waiting for a clue about their own egg.
They understand the elder is really old. Very old. No longer paying attention to what he says, they try unsuccessfully to interrupt and explain about their adventure with the mysterious egg. But Dorothy reminds her energetic young gang to be patient and respectful, explaining that we'll all get old one day, and every time we tell a story it will feel to us like it's the first time we've told it.
So finally the elder comes to the end of his story about the rumour he once heard when he was young, very young, about the flamingos who migrated here and there, and carried stories about anything and everything from lands near and afar...
You raced Minerva for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Minerva the Midnight Happy Dragon. They both received one silver mole!
Our gang approach the lake, tentatively asking the flamingos' permission to spend the night on the shore, thinking this will give the flamingos ample time to notice and comment on their mysterious egg.
The flamingos suggest the gang all rest now, hinting that in the morning at breakfast they will tell the gang about all of the things they've seen and heard and in their own travels...
You raced Midnight for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Midnight the Midnight Happy Dragon. They both received one silver mole!
Footsore and earsore, following the directions of the flamingos, the gang happens upon a murder of crows. Dorothy finds out a bunny friend of the crows stopped by a few days back, dropping off some strange looking eggs, but the crows refused to give out any other information, except to make obscure references to HUGE eagles...
You raced Batty for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Batty the Merry Mole. They both received one silver mole!
Batty and you found 5 "Patchwork Owl, Blue" size 4.
As our gang ventures onwards, the fierce bald eagle scares them all so much, that Martinac is the only one that sticks around to protect their eggs, yodelling his warning in a most discordant manner! To Martinac's surprise, the Eagles suddenly stop swooping and ask their intentions for the eggs? No longer fearing our gang wants to eat their eggs, the Eagles gladly direct them onwards, to the macaws.
While all of this is taking place, Fou Fou notices other bunny hop marks across the hillside, and she wonders if it could be somebunny she knows?
You raced Daphne Fluffster Tinklehoof for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Daphne Fluffster Tinklehoof the Midnight Mauve Unicorn. They both received one silver mole!
Daphne Fluffster Tinklehoof and you found 150 Frank 'n' Cents!
Trying out a different method this time, our gang take advantage of the cheerful mood of the macaws and talk to them individually. Dorothy asks about the origin of the mystery egg. Fou Fou asks about the origin of the mysterious bunny paw prints she spotted. While Martinac sniffs out other eggs, interested in whether the eggs in the birdhouses belong to the macaws or perhaps a sneaky bunny that seems to be just one hop ahead of our gang?
The macaw Martinac talks to double checks her eggs, thinking Martinac is barking up the wrong tree, until she discovers extra eggs in her nest! She asks our gang to stop by the emus and let them know there's something afoot (or something apaw?).
You raced Amelia for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Amelia the Wild White Tiger Cub. They both received one silver mole!
What an interesting place those emus choose to nest, think our gang! But all of the hoomans have bin isolating, so the emus are killing 2 birds with one stone, so to speak - performing their long rehearsed musical (with help from Martinac, who fancies himself as a vocalist) while raising their chicks close by! Something they could never do when the hoomans were all out and about like flocks of sheep (sorry Dorothy!).
It was very difficult for our gang to find transport on Sydney Harbour, but Pirate Captain Raven was more than happy to take Dorothy's GM to transport her, warning her not to listen to the seagulls spreading rumours about a rival bunny water taxi captain!
Dorothy, green about the gills with seasickness was also feeling anxious about their eggbarrow left ashore with Fou Fou and Martinac, could not bear to even think about the seagulls whom she associated with greasy chips!
You raced Frizzle for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Frizzle the Short Haired Guinea Pig. They both received one silver mole!
On the advice of the squawky seagulls, our gang seeks out the royal ballet of swans, performing on Swan Lake. Our gang are puzzled where these noble birds lay the eggs? Does the Queen keep them under her throne? Such a conspricay the squawky seagulls have put in Dorothy's mind! Fresh from his audition with the Emus, Martinac howls out his own accompaniment to Swan Lake, offending the whole ballet!
Meanwhile Fou Fou hops away to hills to talk to the flying swan prince, the only one not birdbrained enough to suffer through Martinac's discordant cacophony in situ! Fou Fou takes a position on the hillside, overlooking the hidden swan nests, explaining to the flying swan prince that they are seeking out bird species in the hopes of finding the mother of their mystery egg. The flying swan prince gracefully points out the location of Birdsong Moors, in the nearby wetlands, home to many more bird species!
You raced rex for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with rex the Brown Lovable Labrador. They both received one silver mole!
Mesmerised by the Birdsong Moors, Fou Fou enjoys the soft green wetlands, which have everything but fresh vegies growing...
Too tired to join in the Birdsong, Martinac takes a power nap, while Dorothy looks around in vain, for a knowledgable bird! "It's the wise old owls you'll be needing," chirp the small birds!
You raced Finley for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Finley the Black Lovable Labrador. They both received one silver mole!
The wise old owls see our gang coming from miles away. Studiously quiet and attentive, they listen to our gang's questions about the mystery egg, looking askance at one another.
Dorothy quickly twigs that they have no clue! However, Fou Fou's questions about the stray bunny are more on track, and the owls wisely redirect our gang to The Land of the Long White Cloud, where the kiwis live...
You raced glowy for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with glowy the Black Feisty Fox. They both received one silver mole!
Hoping to learn about Maori pou whenua, Fou Fou and Martinac gravitate towards what they assume are local carvings, wondering about the meaning of the guardian animals on these totems?
Meanwhile Dorothy introduces herself to some helpful kiwis, who tell her these totems are not actually of their land, and point out the Easter Islands carving, hinting at a secret hideout for the bunny responsible for the mystery egg... As their two lines of enquiry - mystery eggs and a strange bunny finally converge, Dorothy can't help but hope they are getting close to solving the mystery!
You raced FLAPPY for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with FLAPPY the Majestic Monarch Butterfly. They both received one silver mole!
A family of bunnies have been living on Easter Island for many years, crafting eggs of chocolate, caramel, jelly and jam; wrapping them in fancy tin foil and distributing them to spread seasonal joy. While Spring is upon the northern hemisphere and Autumn is spreading its blanket across the south, the bunnies fill their baskets and load their tiny boats. Their vessels are small enough to be completely overlooked, as they traverse the vast Pacific Ocean, en route to PnF Land!
The bunnies know that stealth and secrecy are an important part of the seasonal fun, so they do not want to be traced back to Easter Island! Nothing should be allowed to spoil the surprise on the faces of young pets, as they follow mysterious bunny paw prints across the land, in their hunts for delectable chocolate eggs!
You raced Mochi for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Mochi the Dwarf Hamster. They both received one silver mole!
Mochi and you found 5 "Tempting Tub, With Flowers" size 4.
As the pirate water taxi arrives to transport our gang across the ocean to Easter Island, the mere thought of the confined space on board makes Dorothy shiver, anticipating another dose of seasickness!
Pirate Captain Raven is still squawking about the treasures he might find and the fish he might catch, if he wasn't wasting so much time providing water taxi services to our gang! But maybe the greatest treasure is right in front of the Captain, in the form of a basket of chocolate eggs that he need not share with anypet, provided he does not reveal the bunnies' secret location at Easter Island? Hmmm?
You raced Adept Sanitation Juggernaut for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Adept Sanitation Juggernaut the Multi-Functional Robot. They both received one silver mole!
Adept Sanitation Juggernaut gave you 1 "Flabbergasted Frost Flora" size 7
With the mystery solved, Fou Fou is happy to return to Flutterby's homepage to check out her vegie garden, before unwrapping all the eggs they've been gifted by the bunnies!
You raced Jasper for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Jasper the Tiger. They both received one silver mole!
Jasper gave you 1 "Overcast Skies Bunny" FULL SIZE
Flutterby decides it's time for some Spring cleaning and redecoration. Just look at that crack in the render, from the change in weather? Maybe she can use those colourful egg wrappers to patch it? .
Meanwhile Dorothy hopes they will never have to set sail again, even if she was finally becoming used being at sea. If only Martinac would forget all of the words to the naughty pirate songs Captain Raven taught him, and go back to howling out the Emu arias, that were much more to Dorothy's tastes! Fou Fou is not bothered about anything though, because she has a full vegie basket, which is what really floats Fou Fou's boat!
You raced iddels for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with iddels the Blue Beautiful Unicorn. They both received one silver mole!
And drumroll thank you! Bah dum chhh!!! So that wraps up our egg... ah story! Get it? Wraps up our egg?
To eat the giant mystery egg or it or plant it in the vegie patch, in the hopes of growing a whole garden full? That is the question!
A rose by any other name, and all those delightful cliches! Flutterby has completed the quest! Please select another pet as visitor, so it can also take part!
You raced Miss Mousse for eggs!
Flutterby shook paws with Miss Mousse the House Mouse. They both received one silver mole!
Miss Mousse gave you 1 "Blue And Copper Egg" FULL SIZE
