@ Tunnel of Maple Trees
RUMLIA and milo are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Amber
Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

As you near this autumn realm and hear the thunder of the falls close by, you get to walk through a vividly colorful tunnel of maple leaves with the light of the evening sun at the tunnel's end to attract you further.

@ Silhouette of Flowers at Sunset
“I could stay here forever, RUMLIA,” said Rex. “This is an amazing place!”
“Well, you never know what lies ahead, Rex. I wouldn't be surprised if the next stop is even better!” said RUMLIA.

As you step out of the tunnel of fall-colored leaves, you are greeted with even more beauty to behold as you see flowers silhouetted by the setting sun. Now you know that the day's journey is almost done!

@ Sunset Across the Field
RUMLIA and Fidelis, having shaken paws, got so engrossed in conversation about the beautiful scenery that they had to hurry along so as not to be left behind! They regretfully bade au revoir and auf Wiedersehen to each other!

As you look further past where you are now standing, you see a vast farm field to cross with welcoming trees and hillsides awaiting.

RUMLIA had to travel on alone, as Angus McGregor declared he had found paradise, and had no intention of moving on!

You pause for a moment to make sure that the pictures you've been taking of your breath-taking journey today have been capturing what your eyes have been seeing. Even though there is so much beauty for just two eyes to take in, you are pleased with your photos thus far, especially of the light at the end of the tunnel of maple trees!

@ Handful of Horse Chestnuts
“This reminds me of Meadowlands,” observed RUMLIA, musing as she and Snickerdoodle took a moment to admire the produce beside them. “Such a lovely, peaceful scene.”

Not only were you enveloped with maple trees, but you also saw some chestnut trees mixed within, and so you grabbed a handful of chestnuts as a souvenir!

@ Bouquet of Fall Flowers
“You know, Cicero said 'If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need',” mused Charbon.
"I don't think I've met Cicero," said RUMLIA. "Is he on this tour?"

As you left the woods, with another tree line to your left, you noticed some large blooms of wildflowers along the edge of the trees, and so you picked a few to spruce up your room when you settle in later in the evening.

@ Fragile Flowers
RUMLIA and i•m•o Harambe agreed that the variety of scenery on their Autumn Experience trip was the best ever! They exchanged opinions on which their favourite scene had been so far, and which was the most delicious harvest food they had eaten in their travels!

As you continue through the field, you choose to leave the daintier purple flowers alone, simply enjoying their fragrance and their beauty in the evening sun.

“Isn’t this amazing, Sierra?” declared RUMLIA. “I’m seeing so many flowers and shrubs that I’ve never seen before!”

With all of the flowers you are admiring, you almost forgot the ones you picked up in the autumn realm of green that morning. You check to be sure they are still fresh - and they are! - and remember that you have a note to fill out for tonight's host.

@ Wild White Mushrooms
“I’m going to try growing these at home!” announced RUMLIA, after she and Tilly had tucked into some yummy organic harvest food!

Continuing on the path, you notice along the tree line something white. Not sure if you were seeing flowers, you approach and find that they are wild mushrooms, the edible kind, and so you grab a few to add to a possible stew later in the evening!

@ Path Covered by Fallen leaves
RUMLIA was in a hurry to move along and shake some more paws, but Christine decided to stay where she was for a while, and sketch the scenery for this week's Art Challenge!

@ Surprising Purple Petaled Flowers
DaiDai bent down to sniff the flower in front of him but recoiled hastily. “What’s up, DaiDai?” asked RUMLIA.
“There’s a huge bumblebee on it!” said DaiDai.

@ Running River After the Waterfall
“What an amazing view!” exclaimed RUMLIA after shaking paws with Fino, who agreed with her. RUMLIA was excited to meet up again with Fino. They both took a moment to admire the amazing scene around them.

As you look to your left, with the waterfall thundering to your right, you see how swiftly the river runs past you as you ensure you have enough stepping stones to get across. One wrong step and you may be staying somewhere further south than you planned!

@ Orange You Glad It's Snack Time?
RUMLIA was excited by seeing all the different harvest produce. “I’m going to apply for an allotment and start growing my own food!” he announced to Schnupfen, when they met and shook paws.

As you settle in on your second rock in your river crossing, you remember that your host from last night in the autumn realm of green gave you fresh oranges plucked right off of a tree in their own backyard! Time to get refreshed!

@ Fallen Leaves Floating By
While RUMLIA paused to enjoy the view, Dong Dong started scrabbling in his rucksack for his portable, folding camping chair. “What are you doing with that, Dong Dong?” asked RUMLIA. “We’ll need to get going in a minute or we’ll be left behind!”

As you make your way to the next rock, you noticed flower blooms and leaves floating by. The leaves may have fallen from trees and were blown into the water, perhaps before the waterfall. You stretch out your paw and snag a twig of orange-colored leaves to stick out of your backpack!

@ Plucked Flowers Floating By Too!
Jack and RUMLIA shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

After you cross to your next rock, with the shore almost within reach, you decide to add to your collection of souvenirs by grabbing some of the plucked blooms floating by and wrapping them in paper for safe keeping. These were put in the water by young pets in the autumn realm of green, hoping they would float and float for a long distance.

@ Plenty of Nuts
“I hope we can buy more of this at our local farmer's market,” observed RUMLIA, as she and lady ciganko tucked into a delicious food sample!

As you jump and thump from rock to rock, you check your supply of hazelnuts after noticing you hadn't closed your container as well as you thought! Whew! Most are still there!

@ Red and Yellow Flower
“What’s this flower called?” RUMLIA said to Bunnibuns. “Er—I only know the Latin name for it,” said Bunnibuns and hastily changed the subject.

As you land on the last rock, you notice a huge bloom coming your way on the water. It bumps into the rock, making it an easy grab with your paw!

@ Almost there!
RUMLIA was very happy to meet Stella here! They both swapped tales of their experiences of their travels so far!

As you step onto the shore, you continue to enjoy the sunset and notice the host home close by! What a welcome sight after a long, but joyful day of hiking into a new realm!

RUMLIA and Zoot were entranced at reaching this stopping place and eagerly posed for a picture!

RUMLIA and Garth had shaken paws and took some time to enjoy the super view in a companionable silence!

@ Green Leafed Plant
"This is a glorious specimen, coco", observed RUMLIA. "What a shame that in a month or so all this colour will be gone!"
"You know the best way to get colour in your garden all year, RUMLIA?" said coco. "Buy a garden gnome!"

@ Ginger and Lemons
Inspired by the sunny day, ashley said, “Wouldn't it be fun to work on the harvest?”
RUMLIA took a more pragmatic view. “You’d have to be up before dawn every day and work for 12 hours practically non-stop!”

Angel and RUMLIA counted out their silver moles and bought some of the harvest food. “That one wins first prize for me!” declared Angel.
