Bran and BERT are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Fall Fairground South
Roll up! Roll up! After sunset the fairground is transformed into a glittering arena of swirling lights, with a backdrop of squawks, yelps and howls from pets clinging on for dear life to the scary rollercoaster and whirling round on the fluorescently lit big wheel! The best view is of course from the top, so c'mon, everypet, and have the experience of your life! For pets preferring a gentler ride, hold on tightly to the reins while our carousel horses look after you on a circular journey under a blue starry canopy. Then it's time to indulge in candy, popcorn, gingerbread and pumpkin pie made from the fall harvest! Hopefully everypet will have enough silver moles left to buy a magnificent helium balloon to take home ...

@ Caballo Carousel
Rex hesitated as he and Bran approached the next ride. "I don't know, Bran, it makes me feel a bit scared!"
"Would you say it was on a par with coming face-to-face with those wolves suddenly in the Labyrinth?" asked Bran cheerfully. "Look, you don't have to do it if you don't want; you can watch me go round and then decide."

Ivory got carefully down from the ride, stumbling slightly and holding tightly onto the sides. "I say, you do look a bit green, Ivory, old thing!" said Bran. "I'm reminded of when you got seasick on our Crocodile Creek trip!"
"I was not seasick," said Ivory with dignity. "I had merely eaten something that disagreed with me."

Your cart reaches the top of the slope and then there is a moment of calm when it pauses before it starts on its helter-skelter journey downwards -- until it hits the next climb back upwards!

"Just listen to that old fairground pipe organ, Princess!" said Bran. "I love the painted figures, especially the conductor keeping time at the front. You can hear the music all over the fairground!"
"It certainly adds to the atmosphere," said Princess. "Hey, the ride's about to start! Let's see if we can hear the music from the top!"
Illuminated Revolver
Ferris wheels are named after George W. Ferris, a US engineer from Pittsburgh, who built the first one for the World Expo in Chicago in 1893. Expo visitors found unexpected excitement and novelty. Not only the Ferris wheel but the amazing new wonder that ran it—electricity—were presented for the first time in America.
