@ Dog Sled Fun
Tommen and Mr Virus have been given a free map to help them enjoy their Winter Tour! Before unfolding it, they read the cover:
Aerial Adventure
The pets are collected after breakfast by a friendly array of sled dogs eager to be off! They will have to hang on tight for a speedy journey through a wintry vista before arriving at the aerodrome, where the pets will board a light aircraft for the day's trip. There will be superb aerial views of snowy mountains far below, with Alpine villages and public gardens becoming clearer in detail as the plane descends on its flight path for landing. As sunset falls the plane will land within easy walking distance of the night's accommodation. Here the pets can gather on large, comfy sofas to swap stories of the day's experiences, recharge their energy with cups of cappuccino, then enjoy hot bowls of soup and bread, and perhaps relax with a book before bedtime.

Mush never sounded so fun! Snuggling up in the blankets and enjoying the managed chaos of a sled ride, everypet will enjoy seeing the sights from a different vantage point.

"Good scheme! I'll dig my scarf out as well," said Tommen.

“You know, this is the best ever scenery, Tommen!” said Lami.
"It's very nice indeed—but you never know, the next leg of the tour might be even better!" said Tommen.

Climbing quickly into the blue horizon on a sun filled day, everypet can gaze out the window and see the landscape below! Why, it almost resembles the drawing on the refrigerator of the amoeba from last week’s science lesson.

Tommen clutched the itinerary nervously. "If the engines fail, Theo, how long do we have before the plane hits the ground?" he whispered.
“The rest of your life!" replied Theo heartlessly. "Stop worrying, Tommen; statistically you're much safer flying in an aeroplane than you are crossing the road."

Lucky enough to get the window seat, just beyond the tip of the wing, everypet can gaze at the clouds below, which at this height resemble cotton balls strewn on the bathroom floor.

Millicent was distracted by the sounds of loud rustling as Tommen unfolded a very large tourist map, in the course of which he succeeded in knocking Millicent’s hat off.
“Put that away, do!” said Millicent in exasperation. “We’re about to pose beside this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up PDQ!”

Tommen was feeling nervous about flying. "How often do aeroplanes crash, Pyron Toothless?" he whispered.
“Only once!" replied Pyron Toothless.

@ Frozen Valley
“Ooh, it's just starting to get a bit cold, Tommen!” said Dante. “Can you hold my map while I dig out my scarf?"
Tommen good-naturedly took charge of Dante's possessions while he emptied his rucksack of a pack of sandwiches, a Thermos flask, a pair of galoshes, a bag of toffees, a paperback novel, a bottle of mineral water, an address book, some postage stamps, an assortment of different coloured biros, a bottle opener, a couple of old train tickets, a spool of thread, a handful of golden and silver moles, a door key, some shopping receipts, a screwdriver, a bottle of multivitamins, a lottery ticket and a selection of rather battered sachets of salt, sugar and tomato ketchup before locating the scarf right at the bottom. This he donned and then Tommen helped him put everything back in his rucksack.

Ice and snow as far as the eye can see, unspoiled by any pet’s tracks, the pristine canvas calling out for snow angels!

“It would be great fun to camp in the snow overnight, wouldn't it, Lou?” said Tommen."In the morning you'd fill your kettle with snow and boil it over a tripod of sticks, like they do in books."
Lou shivered. “Brrrrrrrr! I haven't done that since the Cub Scouts, Tommen! I'm too fond of my creature comforts now!"

These delicate and intricate snow crystals have floated down many miles before they nestle alongside their billions of siblings blanketing the vista in pure white. Is it true that no two of those little flakes are identical? Can every snowflake really be unique? The brief answer is: yes! Just as there are no two pets exactly the same, each snowflake is different from the one next to it.
