@ Tunnel of Maple Trees
Puffy named by Stella and Fino are excited to find out what is in store for them in the Autumn Experience! As they enter, they each receive a free map! It reads:
Autumn in Amber
Autumn has well been described by Keats as the "Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness" and pets will here enjoy a ramble through woods with tumbling golden and orange leaves. They can gather hazelnuts, horse chestnuts and fruits, and perhaps forage for mushrooms and dill. Then there are vast fields of wild flowers to explore, and an opportunity to admire the sunset while resting by a rustic barn. Watch your paws or claws crossing the river on the stepping stones—but perhaps splashing in the swirling water is part of the fun!

As you near this autumn realm and hear the thunder of the falls close by, you get to walk through a vividly colorful tunnel of maple leaves with the light of the evening sun at the tunnel's end to attract you further.

“What an amazing view!” exclaimed Puffy named by Stella after shaking paws with Choco, who agreed with her. Puffy named by Stella was excited to meet up again with Choco. They both took a moment to admire the amazing scene around them.

As you step out of the tunnel of fall-colored leaves, you are greeted with even more beauty to behold as you see flowers silhouetted by the setting sun. Now you know that the day's journey is almost done!

“Let’s pose with one of us at each side and I’ll set the self-timer to take a shot,” said Puffy named by Stella to Snowball. “It’ll be a wonderful souvenir of our time here!”

@ Handful of Horse Chestnuts
“These are great as a cake flavouring,” said Puffy named by Stella.
“You can add it to savoury dishes as well. It’s very versatile,” observed Shadow.

Not only were you enveloped with maple trees, but you also saw some chestnut trees mixed within, and so you grabbed a handful of chestnuts as a souvenir!

@ Bouquet of Fall Flowers
"How on earth do you identify what this is from the thousands of things it could be?" asked Queenie.
"Well," said Puffy named by Stella, "you go through a checklist. Like what sort of leaves does it have, how are they arranged on the stem, do they have stalks, what's its habitat; that kind of thing. I'll lend you a book when we get home."

As you left the woods, with another tree line to your left, you noticed some large blooms of wildflowers along the edge of the trees, and so you picked a few to spruce up your room when you settle in later in the evening.

@ Fragile Flowers
"Sour Puss, just take a look all around you and breathe deeply! Get that good fresh air in your lungs! Does it get any better than this?" asked Puffy named by Stella, who had just met Sour Puss at this Autumn Experience stop.

As you continue through the field, you choose to leave the daintier purple flowers alone, simply enjoying their fragrance and their beauty in the evening sun.

“Isn’t this amazing, Honey?” declared Puffy named by Stella. “I’m seeing so many flowers and shrubs that I’ve never seen before!”

With all of the flowers you are admiring, you almost forgot the ones you picked up in the autumn realm of green that morning. You check to be sure they are still fresh - and they are! - and remember that you have a note to fill out for tonight's host.

@ Wild White Mushrooms
“Great to meet you again, Splodge!” said Puffy named by Stella. “Come and have some of this farm-grown organic food—it’s absolutely yummy!”

Continuing on the path, you notice along the tree line something white. Not sure if you were seeing flowers, you approach and find that they are wild mushrooms, the edible kind, and so you grab a few to add to a possible stew later in the evening!

@ Running River After the Waterfall
Mandy shook paws with Puffy named by Stella and was just enjoying the view when she was distracted by loud rustling as Puffy named by Stella unfolded a very lengthy Autumn Experience itinerary, in the course of which she succeeded in knocking Mandy’s hat off. “Put that away, do!” snapped Mandy. “I’m about to take a photo of this amazing scene—the picture will be of your map if you don’t fold it up pronto!”

As you look to your left, with the waterfall thundering to your right, you see how swiftly the river runs past you as you ensure you have enough stepping stones to get across. One wrong step and you may be staying somewhere further south than you planned!

@ Orange You Glad It's Snack Time?
Inspired by the sunny day, Snarky said, “Wouldn't it be fun to work on the harvest?”
Puffy named by Stella took a more pragmatic view. “You’d have to be up before dawn every day and work for 12 hours practically non-stop!”
Snarky hastily revised his romantic harvest vision.

As you settle in on your second rock in your river crossing, you remember that your host from last night in the autumn realm of green gave you fresh oranges plucked right off of a tree in their own backyard! Time to get refreshed!

@ Fallen Leaves Floating By
“I’ve written a postcard to Mrs Eucalyptus about this amazing Autumn Experience!” said Puffy named by Stella. “She’ll wish she were here! Where’s the nearest postbox?”
Kikianna shielded her eyes and rotated 360°, elaborately scanning the horizon. “I don’t know how it comes about, but they appear not to have thought to provide a postbox here, Puffy named by Stella. How remiss of them!” Seeing Puffy named by Stella’s ears beginning to droop, Kikianna added, “Don’t worry, you can post your card after this leg of the Experience!”

As you make your way to the next rock, you noticed flower blooms and leaves floating by. The leaves may have fallen from trees and were blown into the water, perhaps before the waterfall. You stretch out your paw and snag a twig of orange-colored leaves to stick out of your backpack!

@ Plucked Flowers Floating By Too!
"I think I'll take a cutting of the plant in that tub over there," said Puffy named by Stella. The label says it's 'vigorous' and 'fearless'."
Draco sniffed. "That's gardeners' talk for 'an invasive species that will take over your entire garden if permitted'!"

After you cross to your next rock, with the shore almost within reach, you decide to add to your collection of souvenirs by grabbing some of the plucked blooms floating by and wrapping them in paper for safe keeping. These were put in the water by young pets in the autumn realm of green, hoping they would float and float for a long distance.

@ Plenty of Nuts
Itchy greeted Puffy named by Stella cheerily, recommending she expended some silver moles on the fresh harvest food before them.

As you jump and thump from rock to rock, you check your supply of hazelnuts after noticing you hadn't closed your container as well as you thought! Whew! Most are still there!

“You know, Cicero said 'If you have a garden and a library you have everything you need',” mused Moo.
"I don't think I've met Cicero," said Puffy named by Stella. "Is he on this tour?"

As you land on the last rock, you notice a huge bloom coming your way on the water. It bumps into the rock, making it an easy grab with your paw!

“I could stay here forever, Puffy named by Stella,” said Toothless. “This is an amazing place!”
“Well, you never know what lies ahead, Toothless. I wouldn't be surprised if the next stop is even better!” said Puffy named by Stella.

Leena and Puffy named by Stella shook paws and then they both admired the magnificent floral display beside them.

Puffy named by Stella was excited by seeing all the different harvest produce. “I’m going to apply for an allotment and start growing my own food!” he announced to Heidi, when they met and shook paws.
